1957 Chevrolet Corvette convertible fuelie for sale! Motorcar Classics is pleased to offer this gorgeous 1957 Corvette rare fuel injected 283. Presented in factory correct Cascade Green and White Coves with Beige interior this stunning example was the recipient of a recent no expense spared frame-off restoration. This Vette has been driven less than 600 miles since the completion of the restoration. The bodywork and paint was done by Troy's Custom Body & Paint in Saint George, Utah and all the work was done to exceptional standards from the paint, trim, bodywork and chrome. The tan convertible top is brand new and fits very well. The original Wonderbar radio is also still in the car and works well. This Corvette sits on factory correct 15" steel wheels with correct faux-spinner wheel covers wrapped with new BF Goodrich Silvertown P205/75/R15 radial tires. The undercarriage is immaculate along with the engine compartment as well. Under the hood sits the 283/283HP fuelie motors, stamped suffix code F1023EL (fuel injected/Hi-lift cam/Manual transmission), topped with the factory correct Rochester 'Ramject' Fuel Injection system. The motor is linked to a rebuilt factory correct 3-speed synchro-mesh transmission, which feeds power to a 3.55 rear axle stamped BA. 1957 marked the first year that fuel injection was available on the Corvette, and 1,040 cars left the factory equipped with the Rochester Ramjet fuel injection system. Boasting 1 horsepower per cubic-inch, the 1957 Corvette was nearly race-ready right off the showroom floor. This is a rare opportunity to own a piece of Corvette history, don't miss out!
