With twin Solex carburetors the 1959 220S developed 100 bhp and was capable of reaching 99 mph. The 220S series was Mercedes-Benzs principal entry in the mid-sized luxury class at this time and ours is one of only 2,178 cabriolets. This car shows 90,850 miles and has been in the hands of the current owner for over 20 years. It has never been restored and is in surprising good cosmetic condition all around with only age and mileage appropriate wear to the interior as issues a new owner might want to address.
