1959 Meyers Manx Dune Buggy for sale! Motorcar Classics is proud to present this genuine 1959 Meyers Manx Dune Buggy. Legendary Bruce Meyers started a legend and an industry when he introduced his Manx Dune Buggy. Our Manx has a Certificate of Authenticity from Bruce Meyers that this is #0088 of his production. This buggy was built circa 1970 on a shortened 1959 VW Type I floorpan and it has been upgraded with a 1,600 cc dual-port engine mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox. It has all the original tags and plates. The rare side pods give our Manx the classic dune buggy look with fully finished and enclosed sides. The car is finished in metal flake red with period-correct white steel rims, chrome headlamps, period-correct interior, surrey top, wood-rim steering wheel, engine dress-up kit, and bamboo floor mats. The car is reported to have had a light restoration in 2013 and it is in excellent condition to show and drive with pride. These genuine Meyers Manx buggies are very collectible, a parade of them opened the track with a parade this year each day of the Goodwood Revival. This is a very groovy and investment-grade Manx that is more fun that you can imagine!
