This Jaguar was the subject of a complete nut & bolt restoration by a marque expert in Gilroy, CA, and it is a JCNA 1st in class award-winner having scored 99.9 points in 2005. The car is the top specification 3.8 liter example powered by Jaguar's renowned DOHC 6-cylinder motor with Borg Warner 3-speed automatic transmission with power steering and brakes, with discs at all four wheels. It has sparkling chrome wire wheels with period-appropriate wide whitewall tires. The 3.8 MK II is famed for its outstanding performance, and in that period were used in the UK by both criminals, and the police, who needed the added performance to keep up with those they pursued.
