1965 FORD MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE for sale. Motorcar Classics is proud to present this beautiful 1965 Mustang convertible that was the subject of a total nut & bolt mechanical and cosmetic restoration by a respected expert shop and completed in 2014. The restoration was commissioned and overseen by a well-known German automotive engineer, most recently VP of Engineering for BMW North America. It was built to drive safely and reliably on modern American roads. The car is featured in Caspian Blue base coat/clear coat with Black interior. The car has full-documentation of the restoration to GT specs which was completed in 2014 and there are photos of every aspect of the project. The 289CI V8 is numbers matching and the gearbox is a 4-speed with Hurst shifter. The mechanical, suspension and electrical components are all uprated to make this car strong and reliable while preserving it timeless original looks. Specifications include power steering, power front disc brakes, and power top. The car has only 2,000 or so miles since the restoration. It is more solid than any Mustang convertible we have driven and it is a delight to drive. This Mustang is priced well under the cost of the car and restoration and represents an excellent value.
