1966 MERCEDES BENZ 220SEB CABRIOLET for sale. Motorcar Classics is proud to present this classic Mercedes Benz 220SEB Cabriolet featured in Metallic Silver with Red leather interior and Black convertible top. The odometer shows 68,455 miles, which could be original. It comes with receipts for almost $25,000 in work in recent years including a substantial rebuild of the drivetrain and persistent fettling by an experienced owner to make a safe and reliable classic on which everything works properly. It spent much of its life in Texas, and recent years in California and that means it is rust free. Panel fit is very good and there is no evidence of damage or corrosion. It is fitted with the column-shift 4-speed automatic gearbox. The Mercedes W111 platform on which the 220 is built was available only with a six-cylinder engine, the 2,195 cc (134 cu. in.) SOHC M180. In the cheaper 220b and 220Sb, it used twin Solex carburetors, while the 220SEb added Bosch fuel injection, giving 134 SAE gross horsepower. The car is also fitted with cold FrigiKing AC. Wheels are 14 inch Mercedes with chrome hubcaps and Michelin tires. The seats are like new. The wood on the dash is in excellent condition. The steering Wheel is a Ivory White and looks brand new.
