This car was originally sold and resided in Northern California and remained in the hands of its original owner until about five years ago at which time it was acquired by a collector with only a few miles less than the 50,804 showing, although the true mileage cannot be certified. It was reported that a full mechanical refreshment was done about 2001 that included a rebuild of the original 2.4L L24 inline-six to stock specifications, as well as: Rebuilt SU carburetors, New clutch including master and slave cylinders, New brake master and rear wheel cylinders, New radiator, water pump, and hoses, New ignition components, New engine mounts, steering rack, and sway bar bushings, New transmission front and rear seals, New tie rods and ball joints, and Rebuilt front brake calipers. The paint on this car is all factory original and there is no sign of rust damage. With the exception of new carpet and recovered seats, the interior is original including an excellent, crack-free dashboard. This 240Z runs and drives well and is an excellent example of a preserved car that can be driven as it was designed to be, and perform as an investment as well.
