1973 LAND ROVER SERIES IIA for sale. Motorcar Classics is now selling this rugged 1973 Land Rover series IIA Go-Anywhere sport utility vehicle. The Land Rover is an icon worldwide and few vehicles offer such competence in any off-road situation. With a 4-speed gearbox and two-speed transfer case, locking hubs on the front wheels, and lockable free-wheeling on the front wheels, the driver has almost infinite control over the driveline. Power is from a 2.25L 4-cylinder gas engine, and there is an optional PTO (Power Takeoff) for operating accessory devices. The Series IIA is considered by many the most hardy Series model constructed. It is quite possibly also the type of classic Land Rover that features strongly in the general public's perception of the Land Rover, from its many appearances in popular films and television documentaries set in Africa and other remote locales throughout the 1960s. As much as these 88 WB Land Rovers are famed for their off-road capabilities, they are more commonly seen today on the beaches of the Hamptons or Southern California, and they have become quite collectible as well. Our car is featured in the classic Land Rover Green color with Black interior and White wheels. It has been fully restored and is ready to deliver style and reliable service on whatever your own personal terrain.
