1974 DATSUN 260Z BOB SHARP TRIBUTE RACE CAR. Motorcar Classics is pleased to offer this 1974 Datsun 260Z Paul Newman Bob Sharp Tribute race car. The car was professionally built for autocross hillclimb, and track days. It is very fast, very reliable, and inexpensive to run. The car received a complete rotisserie restoration with powder coated tub, roll cage, interior, undercarriage and engine compartment. Power comes from a 2010 Chevrolet Corvette/Camaro LS3 6.2L V8 with about 1,700 miles on the motor. It has Sanderson headers and a complete Aeromotive fuel system with surge tank. The engine is backed by a 2010 Camaro Tremec T6060 6-speed transmission and an Infinity Q45 R200 rear with 3.54 positraction differential with a Techno Toy Tuning mount. At four corners there is a 5-lug conversion with billet aluminum hubs 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern. Brakes are Wilwood Ultra-Lite 12.5 inch vented front rotors and Wilwood Dyna-Lite 11 inch vented rear rotors. The suspension features Koni shocks all around and a Subaru power steering rack. Diamond racing rear and aero front wheels are shod with Formula Atlantic Hoosier slicks 10 on front and 14 on rear. The interior features Ultra Shield seats with 5 point harness and window nets. The numbers are painted, not stickers. The car is fully-sorted and ready to thrill. Please note that this car is not street legal.
