1974 MGB GT for sale! Motorcar Classics is proud to present this extraordinary award-winning 1974 MGBGT featured in Pageant Blue with Black cord fabric interior. This car was the subject of a rotisserie, nut and bolt restoration by MG marque expert Jim Pelletterie and it has been trailered to shows from Florida to Canada. The restoration is documented in a large photo album. It is the best MGBGT that we have ever seen.
The engine has been rebuilt and upgraded with hardened valve seats, high compression pistons, and Isky T37 fast road cam with twin carbs and electronic ignition. The 4-speed gearbox benefits from electric overdrive and the entire drivetrain was rebuilt for performance and reliability. It has a new fuel tank and fuel lines, new wiring harness, new suspension bushings, new rack and pinion steering, and more. The interior was custom upholstered with the finest materials. The engine compartment, undercarriage, and luggage compartment are all detailed to concours condition. Additional upgrades include Moto-Lita leather-wrapped steering wheel, Mini-Lite alloy wheels, and console-mounted stopwatch and clock. The car has covered approximately 12k miles since restoration and yet still looks as fresh as when it was completed.
The MGBGT is a practical and user-friendly British classic and this car is ready to continue winning shows, or it can be driven any distance in style and comfort. The jewel-like quality of the dashboard and trim invite comparison to such great British GT cars as Aston Martin and Jaguar, but at a small fraction of the price. This superb example awaits your pleasure.
