1984 Fiat Pininfarina Azzurra Spider 2000 for sale! Motorcar Classics is pleased to present this delightful 1984 Fiat Pininfarina Azzurra Spider 2000 featured in red with black interior and black convertible top. Pininfarinas timeless roadster was introduced as the Fiat 124 with lines that have an uncanny resemblance to Ferraris 275GTS. While the Azzurra are essentially the same as the Fiat 124 Spiders, they only carry the Pininfarina name. For the final few years these were imported independently, which ties them to the Fiat history, but also makes the Azzurra a rare car in its own right. This is a well-maintained three-owner car that has covered 85,776 miles. The car has been resprayed in the original color due to fading. There is no history or evidence of ever having damage.
Pininfarina substantially increased the level of comfort and convenience on the Azzura. This includes AC, power windows, power locks, wood trim, and an AM/FM stereo. Plus, the air conditioning has been converted to modern R134a.
The motor is the only part of the car that officially bears the Fiat name. This DOHC 2.0-liter fuel-injected engine is a well-developed and technically advanced twin cam inline 4. It has a low-end power surge that just begs to be revved, and you're rewarded for your aggression by a sweet exhaust note of the newer ANSA system. But it wasn't just the engine that made these Fiat Spiders great. These are tight handling cars with well-balanced suspensions that love backroads. They even kept up with some of the most modern features by coming with a five-speed manual transmission (rebuilt) and four-wheel disc brakes. Plus, you'll love this is a true Italian, right down to the Cromodora wheels and Pirelli tires.
Substantial history is included with the car. These Azzura Spiders are a great value in a user-friendly Italian ner exotic.
