1993 Lotus Esprit Turbo SE for sale. Motorcar Classics is pleased to present this 1993 Lotus Esprit SE featured in black with tan leather interior. This is a superb example of the Esprit that has covered only 39,336 miles. It has a clean Carfax and it looks and drives like a nearly new car.
Giorgetto Giugiaro's ''Silver Car'' Concept was first shown to the world In 1972, with the production Lotus Esprit debuting in 1976 and remaining in production to 2004. This Distinctive Fiberglass Wedge combined supercar looks and performance for far less than comparable Italian exotics. Over its lifespan, the Esprit gained GM multi-port, electronic fuel injection system and the addition of a water to air intercooler, which Lotus named the Chargecooler. The SE (Special Equipment) inline-four engine was known as the Type 910S. Horsepower was pushed up to 264 with 280 available on overboost and zero to sixty miles per hour times reduced to 4.7 seconds with a top speed of over 160 mph. The styling of the Esprit was improved dramatically as exemplified by our car with the Peter Stevens facelift, which softened the lines and made the car look more contemporary.
Features on this car include; Smooth Running Lotus 2.2L 4 Cylinder Turbocharged Intercooled Engine Rated, 5 Speed Manual Transmission, Four Wheel Disc Brakes, Air Conditioning, Power Windows, Power Door Locks, Power And Heated Remote Side View Mirrors, Removable Roof Panel, ''Glassback' Tailgate With Aerodynamic Rear Wing, AM/FM/CD Stereo System With Power Antenna, Lotus Seven Spoke Wheels.
The Esprit is a thrill to drive and is still a great value compared to its contemporary German and Italian rivals.
