Panel gaps are, in typical Toyota fashion, incredibly precise. Its paint is excellent. Overall, the car appears to have been cherished from new. As a classic example of the proven Japanese tradition of packing universal good looks with tons of functionality, this Supras exterior masks its first rate sophistication with elegant simplicity. At the front of the car, large flush-fitting chrome headlight buckets mount halogen headlights and HID fog lights between a contoured bumper that incorporates front and side mounted amber turn signals. Deep and lustrous black window frames which display no UV damage. The snug fitting roof panel is easily removed and replaced. The taillights, with four individual round lenses, are perfectly clear. The real reason Supras are so insanely popular, rare, and expensive lies under the hood. The twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six cylinder makes the Supra truly special. The Inline six motor is silky smooth and presents easy routing for turbochargers. The engine is rated at 320 horsepower thanks to dual sequential turbochargers. The benefit is plenty of flexible power with little turbo lag; the first turbo spools up at low engine speeds for quick throttle response, while the second comes in at higher speeds and and delivers a huge rush. There is a slight hesitation in acceleration, and then the car explodes with an adrenaline-rush of power that can make the tires struggle to hold on. Although they were available with 6-speed manuals, Supras equipped with this cars smooth shifting 4-speed automatic are delightful due to the huge reserve of torque. This cars ride height is completely stock, and nothing else has been modified or replaced during the past 17 years. 17 inch alloy wheels are shod with fresh and correct 235/45 front and 255/40 rear Yokahama radials. Wonderfully preserved, the tan leather seats show almost no signs of use and despite their light coloring, no dirt or wear. The dash and console are black, of course, and provide a striking contrast to the light upholstery. Naturally, everything is angled towards the driver, and controls are straightforward and well laid out in typical Toyota fashion. Tan carpets are in excellent condition thanks to a set of black white Supra branded floor mats. And the door panels, which feature controls for the cars power windows and power door locks, are intentionally simple to match the exterior of the car. Behind the cockpit, an immaculate hatch maintains enough room to stow the targa roof, and at the same time, carry a small amount of groceries home from the store.Documentation for this pristine Supra includes the cars original window sticker and the original books and manuals.
